High-Impact Internal Audit Leadership
An internal audit leadership course for heads of audit: lead teams, influence boards and focus the audit plan on what matters most.
Course overview
Heads of internal audit are expected to be technical experts, team leaders and trusted advisers to boards and executives all at once. Many reach the role through technical excellence and find the leadership and influencing demands harder. This internal audit leadership course helps chief audit executives and audit managers lead functions that make a visible difference.
Participants explore what effective audit leadership looks like, how to build credibility with audit committees and executives, and how to manage relationships when findings are unwelcome. They then examine how to shape a risk-based audit plan that reflects organisational priorities and risk maturity, how to resource it with the right mix of skills, and how to lead and develop teams in-house or with co-sourced providers. The final part focuses on quality, performance measurement, innovation and continuous improvement of the audit function. Participants work on their own leadership challenges throughout the week.
Participants leave with clearer leadership priorities, stronger stakeholder strategies and an improvement plan for their audit function.
