How we collect, use and protect your personal data.
Geovani Capital (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website and our training and advisory services, why we use it, and the rights you have under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and other laws that apply to you.
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, job title, organisation and country, when you book, enquire, sign up or request a course.
- Training records: the courses you book and complete, attendance and the certificates we issue.
- Account data: your login email and an encrypted password, if you create an account.
- Feedback: reviews and ratings you choose to submit.
- Technical data: basic server logs and cookies needed for the site to work securely.
Why we use it
- To manage bookings, invoices, joining instructions and certificates (to perform our contract with you or your organisation).
- To answer enquiries and course requests (our legitimate interest in responding to you).
- To let employers and others verify certificates you share (our legitimate interest in preventing certificate fraud). The public verification page shows only the details printed on the certificate.
- To send the training calendar and course news, only if you ask for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our services (for example hosting, email and payment providers), with your organisation where it has booked or paid for your training, and where the law requires it. Where data is transferred outside Kenya, we use appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep certificate records for as long as certificates need to be verifiable, and booking and financial records for the periods required by law. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after a reasonable period.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya. To exercise your rights, email info@geovanicapital.com.
Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls and regular backups to protect your data. Only authorised staff can see booking and training records.
