Advanced Asset Tracing and Recovery Techniques

A 10-day advanced asset tracing and recovery course covering the full cycle, from financial profiling and tracing to restraint and international recovery.

10 days (2 weeks) Classroom, online or in-house QR-verified certificate Next intake 19 Oct 2026

Course overview

Proceeds of corruption, fraud and organised crime in the region are now routinely hidden behind relatives, companies, foreign accounts and virtual assets. Recovering them requires investigators who can work through every stage of the process, not just one. This advanced asset tracing and recovery course is a two-week programme that takes experienced practitioners through the complete cycle in depth, from the first financial profile to the recovery of assets abroad.

The first week builds tracing capability: recovery frameworks, financial profiling and source of wealth analysis, transaction and fund flow analysis, beneficial ownership, intelligence sources and network analysis. The second week turns findings into results: restraint and preservation, investigation and evidence for forfeiture, international cooperation, management of restrained assets and recovery strategy. Daily practical work feeds into an extended simulated case involving a network of officials, companies and accounts in several countries, which teams investigate across both weeks.

Participants leave with the methods, templates and confidence to lead complex tracing and recovery cases and to coach colleagues in their own institutions.
