Asset Recovery Statistics, Case Management Data and Performance Reporting
An asset recovery statistics course on collecting consistent case data and producing the statistics that assessors, ministers and the public expect.
Course overview
FATF assessors, ministries, parliaments and donors all ask for asset recovery statistics: how many cases, how much frozen, seized, confiscated and actually recovered. Many countries struggle to answer because figures sit in different agencies, use different definitions and are never reconciled. This asset recovery statistics course helps practitioners build reliable statistics from case management data.
Participants learn the statistics expected by international standards and assessors, and the definitions needed to make them consistent across police, prosecutors, courts, FIUs and asset management offices. They design case management data fields, data collection templates and inter-agency reporting arrangements, and practise cleaning and reconciling data from different sources. The course covers analysis such as conversion rates from restraint to confiscation and time to recovery, and how to present statistics honestly, including their limits. Participants leave with a draft national statistics template and data dictionary.
Participants leave able to produce consistent, credible asset recovery statistics for assessments and performance reporting.
