Communication and Presentation Skills
Communication and presentation skills training to speak with confidence, structure messages clearly and present persuasively at work.
Course overview
Good ideas fail when they are poorly communicated. Professionals across the region are expected to brief managers, present to boards, speak at public events and represent their organisations, often with little training. This communication and presentation skills training builds the confidence and techniques to communicate clearly and persuasively.
Participants learn the foundations of effective workplace communication: understanding the audience, structuring messages, active listening and adapting to different settings. They then focus on presentations: planning content, opening and closing strongly, designing clear slides, using voice and body language, managing nerves, handling questions and presenting online. Business writing for emails, briefs and reports is also covered. Every participant delivers several presentations during the week, including one that is recorded, and receives individual feedback from the trainer and peers.
Participants leave noticeably more confident and effective when speaking, presenting and writing at work, with a personal plan for continuing to practise and improve after the course.
