Compensation, Benefits Administration and Reward Management
A compensation and benefits course on job evaluation, pay structures, benefits and reward strategies that are fair, affordable and motivating.
Course overview
Pay is one of the largest costs in any organisation and one of the most sensitive issues for staff. Unclear pay structures, inconsistent allowances and poorly managed benefits lead to grievances, high turnover and wage bills that grow faster than revenue. This compensation and benefits course gives HR and finance staff the tools to design and manage reward fairly and sustainably.
Participants learn the elements of total reward and how to develop a reward strategy aligned with organisational goals and budgets. They practise job evaluation, building grading and pay structures, using salary surveys and setting pay policy positions. Benefits administration covers statutory contributions, medical and pension schemes, allowances and leave, with attention to tax treatment and compliance. The course also addresses performance-related pay, pay equity and transparency, the role of salary review bodies in the public sector, and communicating reward to staff. Exercises use realistic salary and benefits data.
Participants leave able to design, administer and explain reward arrangements that are fair, compliant and affordable.
