Office Management and Administrative Excellence for Office Managers

A 10-day office manager training course on leading admin teams, managing resources and budgets, setting service standards and improving quality.

10 days (2 weeks) Classroom, online or in-house QR-verified certificate Next intake 19 Oct 2026

Course overview

Office managers sit between leadership and the administrative team. They supervise people, control budgets and supplies, manage facilities and suppliers, and set the standards of service that colleagues and visitors experience. Many are promoted from administrative roles without management training. This office manager training equips them to lead administrative functions with confidence.

The first week focuses on leading the administrative team: the office manager's role, supervision, delegation, motivating staff, performance conversations, workload planning and managing conflict. The second week covers running the office as a service: administrative budgets and cost control, procurement and supplier management, facilities, health and safety, records and information governance, service standards and quality, risk and business continuity, and reporting to senior management. Throughout, participants work on improving a real administrative service from their own workplace.

Participants leave able to lead administrative teams with confidence and to manage office resources and services to a high, measurable standard.
